What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
My media product might be distributed in a typical newsagent/superstore near other music magazines because there are several artists featured who are popular with the target audience, and this is an effective way for them to access the magazine. It could also be sold at rock concerts/music festivals because it is aimed at people who would enjoy those type of music events so it's logical to take the magazine to the people. Considering the target audience is relatively young, I would also suggest that the magazine could be available to download online or on an app as an act of embracing the digital age we are now in. I would circulate this magazine as a monthly product so that it is distributed frequently enough to keep consumers up to date on the events and news in the hard rock world, but not so frequently that purchasing it becomes a chore and essentially an unaffordable one. It will also be available on a subscription service so that regular buyers will be be able to receive the magazine straight to their home to save them he hassle of going and buying it, as well as them being rewarded with a slight discount by using annual subscription rather than a monthly buy.
